As a type of on-demand energy device, the hydrogen-oxygen generator operates on a principle that eliminates the need for pre-storage of the gas. When needed, the device electrolyzes water to instantly generate a hydrogen-oxygen mixture (Brown gas), which is then directly piped to the point of use. This characteristic fundamentally avoids the safety risks associated with traditional bottled gas storage and transportation, such as explosions and fires caused by gas leaks, pressure vessel damage, or improper handling.
Modern intelligent hydrogen-oxygen generators are designed with storage, transportation, and usage safety in mind. Their electrolyzers feature a fully enclosed design and undergo high-pressure testing using a differential pressure airtightness detector to ensure the electrolyzer body is free of pores and that welds are tight. The equipment typically incorporates multi-level safety protection systems, such as wet-type backfire prevention tanks, mechanical pressure relief valves, and microcomputer protection systems.
The storage and transportation of hydrogen-oxygen generators must comply with relevant safety technical standards. The Chinese national standard "Safety Technical Requirements for Hydrogen-Oxygen Generators" (GB/T 34539-2017) stipulates the safety design, manufacturing, inspection and storage and transportation conditions of the equipment. This standard was reviewed in March 2025 and confirmed to remain valid.
